Rustic Pantry Crackers

Is your soup, dip or cheese plate in need of some delicious homemade crackers? Simply combine some pantry staples in a bowl, soak, roll, bake and enjoy!

Yield: 15 Crackers

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup Nuts to You Almond Hazelnut Butter

  • ⅓ cup water

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp honey

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup mixed seeds and/or chopped nuts

  • 3 Tbsp chia seeds (not substitutable!)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Prepare a large baking sheet with two sheets of parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the Almond Hazelnut Butter, water, salt and honey. Add oats, seeds/nuts and chia seeds, and mix until everything is wet. Let sit for 10 minutes.

  3. Distribute the cracker mixture over one piece of parchment and place the other on top. With a rolling pin or bottle, roll out the mixture until it is flat and even, measuring approximately 13” x 10”. Remove top piece of parchment.

  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and flip the cracker with a spatula. It’s okay if it breaks! Return to the oven and bake for another 12 to 15 minutes or until the crackers are evenly golden and toasty. They will crisp as they cool.

  5. Once cooled, the crackers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
