Sticky Peanut Gochujang BBQ Sauce
This recipe is inspired by sweet and spicy Korean BBQ but with a nutty twist. We love this sauce, especially with grilled chicken, steak or tofu!
Yield: 1 cup
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup Nuts to You Peanut Butter Smooth
¼ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp tomato paste
2 Tbsp gochujang
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp garlic powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until completely smooth. The peanut butter will cause the mixture to stiffen; continue mixing to incorporate the liquids.
Use in place of a regular BBQ sauce for grilled meats and/or proteins, which you can garnish with roasted peanuts. The sauce is also good in bibimbap or your favourite rice bowls.
