Sticky Peanut Gochujang BBQ Sauce


This recipe is inspired by sweet and spicy Korean BBQ but with a nutty twist. We love this sauce, especially with grilled chicken, steak or tofu!
Yield: 1 cup
INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup Nuts to You Peanut Butter Smooth
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp gochujang
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until completely smooth. The peanut butter will cause the mixture to stiffen; continue mixing to incorporate the liquids.
- Use in place of a regular BBQ sauce for grilled meats and/or proteins, which you can garnish with roasted peanuts. The sauce is also good in bibimbap or your favourite rice bowls.
